That moment came on Saturday in an American Track League series race in Marietta, Georgia, as the Hazelwood West (MO) High School graduate and Arizona State University signee produced a new world lead in 44.91 seconds, beating Michael Cherry, a World Championship gold medalist in the relays. With the performance, Robinson became the only high school boy in history to secure two sub-45 second races at 400m. He now sits US No. 2 and US No. 3 all-time at the distance.
