| Video Discription | By Far one of the most regarded Dutch Hop Pioneers was Paul Weingardt. Paul and his revolutionized the Modern Dutch Hop Music and what we know today. He was one of the first bands to use an Accordion as the main lead instrument instead of the Fiddle. Hope you enjoy this video of Paul Weingardt, As this features many of the songs he recorded before he was tragically killed in a car crash on November 22nd, 1964. Paul along with his wife Anna and Dulcimer Player Henry "Hank" Schneider and Hank's Wife Frieda were all killed in the accident. Paul's music is remembered in a special 44 song collection that was remastered and distributed in the late 1990's and early 2000's. The photos are taken from a Book Written about the Dutch Hop "Hochzeit" The First 100 years of Dutch Hop Music and German's From Russia written by Mark Warren.
