| Video Discription | The head of a leading teacher's union has proposed a plan for kids to work on a 'week on, week off' basis when they return to school in September. Most children have been off school for over 5 months due to the coronavirus pandemic, however the government says they are determined for pupils to get back to work as a “national priority”. Geoff Barton, the General Secretary of the association of school and college leaders told newspapers: "If you want to limit the number of children on site or travelling to and from school, a big part of that is using rotas and the obvious way to do it is 'week on-week off'. Boris Johnson at the weekend said it is the country's moral moral duty for schools to reopen for the autumn term. A Downing Street source also told newspapers the prime minister believes the impact of the lack of education for young people is a larger threat than that posed from the virus for pupils.
