| Video Discription | Stubble burning is a common practice amongst farmers across north India. Especially, in the absence of economically viable and convenient solutions. EY Foundation committed its support to the India Paryavaran Sahayak (IPS) Foundation to implement a cost-efficient and scalable solution to address the air quality issue in the Northern region of the country. The grants will be used to spread awareness and drive usage of in-field straw management practices among farmers to reduce air pollution caused due to crop residue burning. By the end of 2019, this intervention is expected to reach over 25 thousand farmers across 300 villages in Punjab, reduce 300,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions and, save 48 billion litres of water.
