| Video Discription | This is the Girls 3200 Meters Championship race from the 2023 CIF State Track & Field Meet, held May 27 at Buchanan High (Clovis, CA). Payton Godsey of Oaks Christian and Gionna Lopizo of La Costa Canyon came into the race with sub-10:00 times in 2023, and there was a lot of talent around them on the line. Freshman Jaelyn Williams of Eastlake sets a fast pace during the first 2000M, but the chase pack eventually closes. Rylee Blade of Santiago has a huge PR to take the championship (10:02.19) over Godsey (10:02.63) and Lopizo (10:08.32), with Williams hanging in for 4th (10:11.01).
