| Video Discription | In the summer of 1941, Jennifer Jones (then known as Phylis Walker) did a screentest for David Selznick Productions. The first tests were conducted at his New York headquarters and further tests were done in September in Hollywood. She was auditioning for the title role in "Claudia", a play that was being planned for the big screen. Jones lost the role to Dorothy McGuire but following this test, she was signed to a seven-year contract. One year later, she would star in "The Song of Bernadette" and receive an Oscar. |
