| Video Discription | We took a day trip to Salem, MA from Boston. Salem is known as the Witch City due to its history and infamous witch trials. We visited some of the witch-related locations, such as the Witch House, the Salem Witch Trails Memorial, and a few Hocus Pocus filming locations. We toured the home of Salem’s former resident, author Nathaniel Hawthorne. Naturally, we toured the House of the Seven Gables, which inspired Hawthorne’s novel. Not only that, but we were able to visit Nathaniel Hawthorne’s birthplace, as well! Salem was also an integral shipping port, during its early history, so we explored the Salem Maritime National Historical Site, including the replica of the Friendship and the Derby Wharf.
