| Video Discription | The forthcoming DDC polls have become a battle between nationalism and separatism in J&K. The newly formed coalition of six regional and national parties called Gupkar Alliance takes on the BJP who is trying to gain foothold in the UT. While the battle for who controls the politics of J&K plays on, the significance of the polls hasn't been lost considering that it will be the first electoral exercise in the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir which was spit into two Union Territories following the Modi govt's August 2019 move to rescind J&K's special status.
