| Video Discription | Imad, and thousands of others living close to the Blue Line in south Lebanon, had no choice but to leave his life and home behind and seek refuge in the city of Tyre. Since 8 October 2023 the exchanges of fire across the Blue Line have led to much destruction, forcing almost one hundred thousand people to be displaced. In Tyre, hosted by the Union of Municipalities, UNIFIL's Italian and Ghanaian peacekeepers, alongside the Lebanese Red Cross, organize free medical aid for internally displaced people, like Imad. Medical aid is part of a series of support projects UNIFIL is implementing for the benefit of southerners during these difficult times. |
