| Video Discription | We were in Mumbai, India for Diwali (2022) and were totally shocked by this festival! We tried to research what to do in Mumbai for Diwali and had such a hard time figuring out where we should go for the best experience of this very important celebration. Some Mumbaikars suggested we visit Marine Drive and Shivaji Park for Diwali, and these suggestions turned out to be incredible! We really didn't know what to expect from Diwali (or Deepavali as we have learned it is also called), but it certainly wasn't this. We joining a few thousand people on Marine Drive to watch the sunset and see the Mumbai skyline come to life in the dark before having our first experience with some very intense and unexpected firecrackers. After a ride on the famous Mumbai train line we shared some sweets with local shop owners creating rangolis before arriving at the incredible Shivaji Park! We couldn't believe our eyes when we arrived to Shivaji Park. We have never seen so many fireworks in our lives! We feel so lucky to have been in India for Diwali to better understand how important this festival is for so many people around the world. As foreigners, celebrating Indian festivals is a dream come true for us so we can learn more about the meaning behind them and get a chance to meet local people. We definitely recommend that all travelers celebrate Diwali in India at some point in their lives! The Diwali fireworks in Mumbai gave us a few heart attacks, but they also made for a very memorable day. The people in Mumbai were so friendly and excited to share their Diwali celebrations with us and we are so grateful for this. As foreigners in India, it can be difficult to celebrate festivals like Diwali, but the people of Mumbai made sure we had a great time! If you are watching our videos in the order they are uploaded, you may be a bit confused about how we got to Mumbai when our previous video was in Delhi! We are uploading this video out of order because we want to upload it as close to Diwali as possible so we can show the beauty of this festival while the excitement of Diwali is still in the air!
