| Video Discription | Doug Mankoff truly represents the story of the "local boy done good." Born and raised in Dallas, Doug has always embraced life and all its opportunities. He took care of his beloved beagle "Captain America", collected comic books, and ran a window-washing business. In high school he played football, wrestled, and golfed. Tutored younger students at a nearby school -- and in a bit of foreshadowing acted in his school's performance of ROMEO & JULIET. College beckoned (go Blue Devils) and an MBA followed. But the lure of the entertainment industry couldn't be ignored and Echo Lake Entertainment came to fruition. An attendee and participant of the Dallas International Film Festival multiple times, Doug is a wonderful example of the type of filmmaker we love to bring to Dallas. Not only does he relish the chance to come home, but he also fully recognizes Dallasites love movies -- and the people who make them. |
