| Video Discription | At (very) long last, my thoughts on this beef between Kendrick Lamar and Drake. This year, two of the biggest rappers in the world went head-to-head with a series of diss tracks, but the beef runs much deeper than just what we've heard over the last few months. With this video, I sought to create a definitive, historical guide to hip hop's family feud, analyzing the current beef in the context of more than twenty years of bad blood. I can't imagine I'll ever make a longer video than this one, but to me this beef is a significant cultural milestone. Though I'm most certainly a guest in this space, I've been a devoted and respectful student of hip hop for more than a decade, and commenting on this beef gives me an opportunity to demonstrate my love and respect for a genre and culture that has energized and inspired me for the entirety of my adult life.
