Legendary sports car manufacturers like Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren and Porsche made their début in the series, next to DTM stalwarts Audi, BMW and Mercedes-AMG. The battle for the title went down to the wire, with three drivers from three different brands still in contention going into the finale at Norisring. And what a finale it was, a spectacular conclusion of the season that had started at Monza in June. In between, seven different drivers with four different brands managed to win races, making it a season with a lot of variety. Plenty to enjoy, therefore, in the official review of the 2021 DTM season.
