| Video Discription | From the Kniebandl Lautenbuch of 1725 (PL-Wn396), here is a chaconne in C major by the 17th century French baroque composer François Dufault (marked Chiaconne but they didn't have autocorrect back then). There are several concordances of this piece, most notably A-Wn17706, but I like the fuller texture of this version, even if it has the occasional misplaced note. Striving for historical accuracy, I hope my response to the instruction "tournez" is appreciated!
