| Video Discription | Short Field Landing - Cessna 172M at Eastern Flying Club, Pattaya, Thailand. It's a 500 metre dirt strip with a cement bagging plant at one end. Fly over once for a look at the windsock (it was 5-10 kts from 180 to 150) then final approach to RWY 19 with flaps 20 and 60 knots going to flaps 30 and power off for 55 knots landing. You can use flap 40 in this model 172 but go-around is marginal, particular when it's 30 degrees C outside and there's a bit of crosswind. Flown two-up and tanks half full. |
