| Video Discription | New Delhi, Sep 09 (ANI): Chief Election Commissioner of India Syed Nasim Ahmad Zaidi on Wednesday announced the dates for the upcoming Bihar elections. Zaidi said that adequate arrangements have been made in wake of polls adding that paramilitary personnel will be deployed for security in extremism hit areas to ensure free and fair polls. He announced that the polls for the 243 constituencies will be held in five phases. The dates for all five phases are- Oct 12, Oct 16, Oct 28, Nov 01 and Nov 05. The date of counting for all phases will be November 08 and the elections will be finished on November 12. The term of present government in Bihar terminates on November 29, 2015. The model code of conduct has been enforced with immediate effect. |
