This dramatic escalation took place following the show cause notices that were issued back in November 2023, to Mesa Sink and Learn Private Limited as well as Baiju Ravindran. The notices were a result of complaints filed under subsection 3 of section 16 of FEMA (Foreign Exchange Management Act) 1999. The allegations are serious as they pertain to violations of the provisions of FEMA 1999 to the grand tune of 9,362.35 crore rupees. The enforcement directorate seems to be leaving no stone unturned in this pursuit.
