| Video Discription | [Recipe] This tofu and egg dish is a lower calorie, high protein option for people who are watching their weight. It's very palatable too and goes well with brown rice or your choice of carb! Soy products like tofu are rich in isoflavones and these flavonoids (plant-based chemicals) can help to lower your blood pressure and offer other heart-protective benefits. In addition, compounds in tofu appear to protect against illnesses such as heart disease, diabetes, and even certain types of cancer. While tofu may not be suitable for everyone (e.g. people with breast tumors or thyroid issues), it is safe for most and can contribute to a well-rounded diet. Without further ado, check out my recipe below - Ingredients 1 block Pressed Tofu (300g, pat dried) 3 Eggs A few dashes of Pepper Salt Toasted sesame Oil (optional) Seasoning For Stir-fry - 1 tsp soya sauce 1 tsp oyster sauce 1/2 tsp dark soya sauce 1/4 to 1/2 tsp sugar Chilli flakes 2 tbsp water 1) Season eggs with 2 pinches of salt + few dashes of black pepper. Beat well and set aside. Prepare the stir-fry seasoning with the condiments stated above and set aside. 2) Preheat the wok and add a moderate amount of oil. Add in the tofu block and use the spatula to roughly cut into bite sizes. Let the Tofu cook on one side till fragrant or lightly brown. Proceed to stir-fry the tofu. 3) Add the beaten egg into the tofu and cook under medium low / low heat. Cover with a lid to let the ingredients steam for a few minutes. Uncover and pour in the seasoning once you observe that the egg is almost set. 4) Stir fry everything together. Pour a round of toasted sesame oil around the wok to enhance the flavour (optional). 5) Add salt to taste if needed. I added a pinch.
