| Video Discription | Eierlikör, to you probably known as Advocaat, is a rich, creamy liqueur with a custard-like flavor. In Germany, it is mostly consumed during Easter and Christmas, but available year-round. Eierlikör is supposedly derived from “Abacate”, a drink that European explorers discovered from the indigenous people of the Amazon rainforest in the 17th century. Eierlikör can be made with different types of alcohol. You can drink it pure, enjoy it on top of ice cream or use it as ingredient for a variety of baked goods, cocktails and longdrinks. Eierlikör tastes best right out of the fridge and when kept there, stays good for months. 👉🏼 Ingredients for the production of 1 bottle: 500ml of milk OR liquid cream (with milk it's a little more fluid) 250g of sugar 250ml of white rum 6 egg yolk 2 sticks of cinnamon Preparation: 1. Boil the half of the sugar (125g) with the milk OR liquid cream and cinnamon sticks. Afterwards, remove the cinnamon sticks. 2. Beat the remaining sugar (125g) with the egg yolks in a bowl on a hot water bath 3. Pour the hot milk into the egg yolk and continue with a whisk until the mass begins to thicken. 4. Pour the liquid through a sieve into a bowl and allow cooling for about 3 minutes. 5. Slowly stir the rum under the egg crème. 6. Fill the egg liqueur into clean bottles with corks, bowed or screw cap. A cinnamon stick can be added. Close the bottles and refrigerate the liqueur. Info: Store in the refrigerator.
