So what is form 17C? Maintained under - Conduct of Election Rules, 1961 Form 17C has all the details like • Identification number of EVM used in polling stations, • Total number of electors assigned to polling station, • Total number of voters, etc. • MOST importantly, it contains VOTER’S TURNOUT DATA – means how many voters actually voted in each polling station on the polling day. Election commission provides details of Form 17C to each candidate or his agent. The candidates may verify the results on the counting day by matching it with the EVM count.
