But in reality this is little more than a sticking plaster, designed to tick a legal box. If dyslexia involves working memory, executive function, sequencing, and emotional regulation, then an extra half an hour sitting in the torture chamber of an exam hall is going to do absolutely nothing to help those students who have been failed and forced to fall behind for their entire school life. If schools are serious about helping dyslexics get through education unscathed, they need to do a lot more than "keep us back" for an elongated period of exams.
