| Video Discription | This talk is to allow each and everyone who dares to dream, and most importantly the fans of Indian Cricket to be a part of the unsung symphony of success. Patrick Rajkumar, a political science professor by profession who changed it to the coach of Indian Blind Cricket team, is the guiding light that helped the team find what they were seeking for. He coached the Indian team to lift not just the ODI World Cup but also two T20 World Cups, and the Asia Cup trophy. A colossal lesson to be learnt by this is how you do not have to be perfect to inspire someone. “It is never about missing limbs. It is about connecting the missing links,” says the man of action. Circumstances do not dictate success, passion does. An empty life with no dreams cannot fuel us to chase our career, it is all about the craving. The craving to taste success on your fingertips. The only thing worse than being blind is having a sight without a vision. A blind person, in reality, is the only person who can truly see. Mr. Rajkumar has led the Indian blind Cricket Team to three World cup wins. Being neither a professional coach nor a sportsperson, he did a detailed research on the sport and trained the players by focusing on both physical and mental preparedness. A multilingual and a political science professor, he has been training the team for over six years now. A true visionary with an unbreakable spirit to bring a change to this world, we, at TEDxKIITUniversity are deeply honoured to have Mr. Patrick Rajkumar in the panel of speakers for this year.
