| Video Discription | As with any wound, the severity and variations are many. But, it is a father’s emotional absence, that does the damage. This can be through a father who: - Was passive and couldn’t protect his daughter from her overly critical mother - Was a workaholic and didn’t talk about feelings - A father who’s presence she feared, because he was explosive, overly critical, or an addict of some sort - He left, cheated, or died at an early age (or she grew up without a father) Feelings of being emotionally abandoned, and feeling deeply inadequate, grow within the young girl when these things happen. She unconsciously carries resentment, and is overwhelmed and stressed easily because she constantly feels like things are going wrong She develops many coping mechanisms, can develop addictions like seeking comfort in food, promiscuity, and unhealthy views of men and relationships. If she chooses a passive partner, she will unconsciously control and resent him on a subtle level, seeing in him, her unprotective father If she chooses an abusive man, she is simply reincarnating her emotionally disconnected father, or choosing an insecure man who overcompensates through bravado, which she mistakes as strength The solution is first healing the immense grief and pain at the root of her father wound, which automatically dissolves the need for control, the trust issues and other coping mechanisms. Now, there is no disappointment in her core, no abandonment to fear. Then, she must give to her inner child, all the love she wanted from her father.
