If you're not quite yet done with your first run of the Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree DLC or are just not willing to go into NG+, you can substitute the second Maternal Staff with a Prince of Death Staff. Note that the Prince of Death Staff goes in your main hand since it has slightly higher sorcery scaling (you'll still get the Finger Sorceries boost by offhanding the Maternal Staff). This Finger Sorcery mage build is honestly really fun to use. Glintstone Nails track your opponent, which is really neat especially when you're dealing with a very mobile boss that does a lot of AOE jumping attacks like Hoarah Loux or Radagon. However, for Radagon, since he has this weird parry move where he just blocks all of my Glintstone Nails, I used the Fleeting Microcosm, which summons an initial exploding ball followed by an even bigger explosion and BOY does it do damage. I absolutely melted Radagon. Shard Spiral is only really good for the Elden Beast since he has such a big surface area. Comet Azur is also optional as well. I used it against the Fire Giant since I wanted to kill him quick, but in reality Glintstone Nails would've taken like 10-15 seconds longer. Oh, and Rennalla isn't in the video since she is 80% resistant to magic damage. You can technically use Cherishing Fingers (a Finger Sorcery) if you'd like since it does pure physical damage, but I was too lazy and would just recommend you put on some random bleed build. |
