| Video Discription | Lasuni Palak dal-garlic spinach dal Preparations: 1/4cup-tur dal 1/4cup-channa dal Washed and Soaked for 1/2 hour. Pressure cook upto 6,7 whistkes. 1bunch-spinach or Palak Chopped into strips and washed and blanched. Ingredients: 2tbsp-ghee 1-onion finely chopped 1-tomato finely chopped 2tsp-garlic and greenchilli paste 1tsp-cumin seed 1-bay leaf 1-kashmiri dried red chilli 1-lemon juice 1/2tsp-garam masala 1/4tsp-asafoetida 1/4tsp-turmeric powder 1/2tsp-red chilli powder Salt as per taste For tadka: 3tsp-ghee 1-Kashmiri dried red chilli 4-garlic finely chopped 1/2tsp-cumin seed 1/4tsp-garam masala 1/4tsp-red chilli powder Method: Heat 2tbsp ghee in pan add cumin,dried chilli,asafoetida,bay leaf and sautae for a minute. Add chopped onion fry till translucent and add garlic,greenchilli paste and sautae till aroma arises. Add chopped tomatoes and sautae till soft and mushy. Add in turmeric powder,red chilli powder,garam masala,salt and cook till ghee separates. Add in blanched Palak without water and mix well. Add both the dals mix and cook for 15 minutes on low flame.add lemon juice. Once ready pour the tadka on it. For tadka heat ghee add in dried Kashmiri red chilli,cumin seed,garam masala and chopped garlic. Once the garlic turns slightly brown off the flame and pour tadka on the dal. Lasuni Palak dal is ready.serve hot with phulka dash of Lime juice and onion salad Variations: For Jain avoid onion and garlic and make a Palak dal. |
