| Video Discription | Terry Bollea (also known as Hulk Hogan) tried to stop Gawker Media from publishing a report and video of his affair. He first filed a complaint in federal court, but the court said no to his request for a preliminary injunction. Bollea then filed a similar complaint in state circuit court and got a temporary injunction, but again, the decision was overturned by a higher court. Bollea was arguing that Gawker violated his privacy, but Gawker argued that because it was a matter of public interest, they were protected by the First Amendment. The court had to analyze whether the temporary injunction was a prior restraint on free speech and whether the doctrine of collateral estoppel applied. Gawker Media, LLC v.
