Number 10. Jonathan Perales
A jury found a San Antonio teen Jonathan Perales guilty of capital murder in a home invasion case. The 19 year old was automatically sentenced to life in prison without possibility of parole in the death of homeowner Michael Robinson. Robinson’s wife told her husband someone had broken into their home, and he grabbed his Glock and yelled out for the intruder to leave. Robinson was killed after he confronted Perales inside his home, both men were armed and exchanged two shots each. Perales testified on the stand Wednesday, admitting he shot Robinson but said Robinson shot first. He also said he didn’t mean to hurt anyone; he was high on Xanax and was just looking for stuff to steal.
Number 9. Gavon Ramsay
In one of the most horrifying cases that came to light, a 17 year old boy called Gavon Ramsay was sentenced to life without parole. Howard Leasure searched his 98-year-old’s aunt’s Wadsworth home hoping for clues about where she was. He looked in the closet to see if he could find Margaret Douglas’ favorite shoes. He found one but realized it was attached to her dead body. Ramsay was convicted of Douglas’ strangulation death and sentenced. Police discovered in their investigation that Ramsay sneaked into the home of Douglas, who never locked her door, and took a video of her sleeping on the couch. He strangled her and spent two hours taking more videos and photographs of her corpse, including several of a sexual nature. He then put her body in a small closet, covered her with clothes and a vacuum cleaner and returned to his home five doors down before his parents awoke. Ramsay pleaded no contest and was found guilty in November 2018 of all the charges against him, which included aggravated murder, murder, aggravated burglary, kidnapping and gross abuse of a corpse.
Number 8. Corey Johnson
Corey Johnson will spend the rest of his life behind bars for fatally stabbing a 13-year-old boy during a 2018 sleepover in Palm Beach Gardens, when he was 17 years old. The now 21-year-old was sentenced to life in prison after he was convicted of first-degree murder and two counts of attempted murder previously.
Johnson was a party guest of a friend when he stabbed Sierra several times and slit his throat before attacking Bancroft's 13-year-old brother, Dane Bancroft, and his mother, Elaine Simon, who lived at the home. Dane Bancroft was stabbed 32 times, while Simon was stabbed a dozen times. Both survived the attack.
Number 7. John Freeman
John Freeman was sentenced to 22 years to life in prison for killing the 5-year-old girl in her great-grandparents’ Niagara Falls home, when he was 17 years old. The Niagara County Judge imposed the sentence, which was the most severe he could order under the terms of Freeman's plea bargain. Freeman killed Isabella after he was left to watch her, The girl’s mother, Crystal Walker, had left the child with the Lascelles while she went to her job at a Niagara Falls bar.
