| Video Discription | Smt.Vidya Kalyanaraman is a disciple of Sangeetha Kala Acharya Smt. Suguna Varadhachari (since 2005). She had her earlier training under Smt. Padma Sandilyan for ten years. Vidya holds an M.Phil degree in music. Vidya is an A GRADE artist of All India Radio, Chennai. She received the ‘Scholarship to young artistes’ from the Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India for the period 2009 - 2011. Vidya has been performing vocal concerts since April 2001. Apart from performing in various parts of India, she has also toured countries like Singapore, Malaysia, USA and Canada. Vidya has served as the president of the ‘Youth Association for Classical Music’ (YACM) for the period 2005 – 2007. Vidya has had the rare privilege of performing at the Rashtrapathi Bhavan, New Delhi in 2004, in the august presence of Dr.APJ Abdul Kalam, the then president of the Republic of India.
