In part 2 of Rotating Over the Bar, you’ll learn critical elements at takeoff, where rotation begins and some cues that will help you clear the bar. The position of your head, lead arm, and shoulders at takeoff are important to clearing the bar and landing safely. This video includes technical instruction for these components and provides you with tips to help your body learn the correct movements. Common errors and how to avoid them are also covered including a big one - tilting the head and/or shoulders back prior to jumping Coach Ryan Baily is the head assistant coach at Colorado State University. He is a 7-time RMAC coach of the year.
