| Video Discription | For over 94 years Blackie's Hot Dog Stand has been serving up amazing hot dogs and burgers at their shop in Cheshire, CT. What stands out and makes their dogs so special is their secret "Spicy Pepper Relish." In this video, I will show you how to make an almost EXACT copy of this very special hot dog! Pepper Relish Recipe: 2 cups white vinegar 1 cup diced green bell pepper (with seeds) 1 cup diced red bell pepper (no seeds) 1/3 cup diced chili manzano (or any hot/sweet pepper) 1 serrano pepper diced (with seeds) 1/4 cup finely minced onion 1 tsp ground allspice 1 tsp ground cinnamon 1 tsp ground cumin (you may wish to add an additional 1/4 to 1/2 tsp) 1 tsp ground nutmeg 1 tsp white sugar 1/2 tsp salt Add the above ingredience to a medium sized pot and bring to boil. Once it is boiling, reduce to a high simmer. Stir in 1/8 tsp of xanthan gum and continue to simmer. Add 1 cup of water as the liquid reduces and continue doing this for about 4 hours. Then, allow the relish to reduce to the desired thickness.
