Let’s consider two examples of seeing responsibility Pastors and deacons in Acts 6:1-4 Paul w/ Timothy (Phil 1:27; 2:19, 20) Let’s look at the PowerPoint – and understand the “circles” Focusing on a few key questions ? Do you start projects without finishing them? ? Do you have problems saying “no” to people? ? Do you find yourself getting so concerned that you try to get someone else to take on the responsibility? ? Are you critical of others that don’t seem concerned with the things that concern you? ? Do you conclude that those who aren’t involved don’t even care? U If you have the gift of mercy it will be harder for you because of your natural concern for people Practical application Men, just because you are the head of the home doesn’t mean that everything has to go your way You may just need to do this for one day or one week to make adjustment because of a conflict/schedule… It is best when dealing with a home or family concern or obligation to have both the husband & wife present TOOL OF EVALUATION: Is it neither urgent and nor important? Is it urgent, but not important? Is it important, but not urgent? Is it both important and urgent? |
