| Video Discription | This video compares cleaning your (ALH/BEW/BRM) TDI VNT vanes on car through the EGR port versus removing the turbo and disassembling. I had always been curious how well the on-car did so I figured this would be a great comparison. Great indication on the VNT vanes needing cleaning is usually overboost codes or limp mode after hard acceleration in 4th-5th. As you could see in this video about mid travel the vanes would stick when getting pulled down with vacuum and wouldn't return all the way back up. |
