But yet many of you have emailed me, you've connected with me and you're like, but how does the Daniel fast for diabetics work? Today I am interviewing one of our own team members, Tracy Wainwright. She’s a type one diabetic for the past 13 years, and she did the Daniel fast. So many people are dealing with diabetes, and so many people don't know they're dealing with diabetes, and they're like, wait a minute, I had the same symptoms on the Daniel fast. So today, I just want to encourage you that you can do the Daniel fast as a diabetic. Daniel Fast For Diabetics - Diabetes And Daniel Fast Tracy has known about the Daniel fast for a long time, and she learned a lot more over the last year about the Daniel fast by being a part of the Biblical Nutrition team. She has learned how it works, tools to prepare recipes, just basic and detailed information. But can a diabtic do the Daniel fast? How does the Daniel fast for diabetics work? For Tracy, she did it very strictly and did not do a lot of grains. No flours but she had old fashioned oatmeal for breakfast and a few meals with rice. She ate 50/50 fruit and vegetables, as well as some nuts pretty much at every meal. The Daniel fast for diabetics would require more protein from vegetables and nuts, and absolutely no meat protein or dairy products. Tracy also chose foods with a higher fiber to carb ratio such as nuts and seeds, legumes, and vegetables. So it was not a lot of standard carbs for her, tried not to eat pasta. She had homemade bread like unleavened bread and other healthy grains. Daniel Fast For Diabetics - Battling With The Lows During The Daniel Fast There were some lows in her life - low energy, physically shaky, brain fog, and the like. When she had the lows, during the Daniel fast, she got some sugar from fruit or fruit juice. During the early parts of the Daniel fast, there were a lot of lows and it was draining. The first 10 days were the roughest, especially there’s a large learning curve. But at day 11 onwards, it got easier. Her blood sugar level was much steadier and she was able to feel better mentally and emotionally. It also helped that she was taking her multivitamins, vitamin D, C, and supplements that supported her during the fast. Are you looking to start the Daniel fast as a diabetic?
