If I do trigger, do I do a double or just a back and across? 🤷🏻♂️ There are lots of different trigger movements which creates uncertainty for batters 🤔 Some of the best players do a double movement while others do a back & across & some do none at all. So what’s right for you? As @scolls5 says, there’s no one size fits all. You have to try things & work out what works best for YOU. The goal is to be in a position (at release) to get into good positions on both the front & back foot 🦶🏽 One of the most common issues we see as batting coaches is trigger movements causing batters to be off balance & in a bad position at release which often results in being in a bad position at contact point 🤯 We believe that if you fix the problem at the start (release) often the problem at the end (contact point) doesn’t occur… OR you atleast give yourself a much better chance. A batter’s technique is the foundation of their game & fundamental errors such as being off balance at release means there is a LIMIT to how good you can be.
