| Video Discription | Hi guys – welcome back to Hypeddit. We want to show you how to use Hypeddit to build a bigger and better fan community around your music. In this video, we are going to introduce you to our brand-new Spotify fan gate. Exiting stuff! Let's start off by sharing a bit of background and explain why we developed this fan gate the way we did – because it’s different. The amazing thing about Spotify is that is has grown into one of the most important platforms for artist and creators to monetize their music. Whenever a listener plays your track on Spotify, you make money. It’s a fantastic opportunity and means that you probably want lots of fans and listeners on Spotify. But there is also one big problem with Spotify for most artists: You cannot directly post content or include custom links with your tracks on Spotify. That means you cannot link to a fan gate directly from Spotify. So it’s very different from the way you’re sending listeners to your fan gates from SoundCloud or Youtube for example. These two points, money and closed access, mean that we had to develop a totally different type of fan gate to help you build a bigger and better fan community in Spotify. So we did. We call our Spotify fan gate a “transfer fan gate”. “Transfer” means that this fan gate is optimized to help you transfer and duplicate followers and fan connections from SoundCloud, Facebook, Youtube, Mixcloud or other social platforms to Spotify. In order to do this, we optimized this new Spotify fan gate for total flexibility. Want to share a DJ set posted on MixCloud and have your MixCloud fans follow you on Spotify? No problem. Want to share a free track on SoundCloud and have your SoundCloud fans follow you on Spotify? No problem. Want to share a sample pack on Youtube and have your Youtube subscribers follow you on Spotify?
