| Video Discription | Classic Italian sub sandwich with a variety of delicious Italian style meats, fresh tomatoes, shredded lettuce with a drizzle of olive and oregano oil then warmed on the Blackstone griddle. Servings: 1-2 Shopping List: 10 inch Italian sub buns 1/2 cup olive oil 1 tbsp. dried oregano 6 ounce package of salame, prosciutto and capopcollo (available at Walmart) Small sliced pepperoni Enough sliced tomatoes, slices of provolone cheese and shredded lettuce to fill the length of the buns. Salt, pepper and garlic blend to taste Directions: Cut off both ends of the bun the slice the lengthwise to open up. In a bowl, add the olive oil and dried oregano. Mix well to combine then brush onto each inner side of the hoagie buns. On the bottom bun, add the cheese, the meats, tomatoes and shredded lettuce. Drizzle on some more olive oil/oregano then season to taste with the salt, pepper and garlic blend. Add the top bun. Slice in half to make two sandwiches. Pre-heat the Blackstone E Series griddle to 300 degrees (if using a regular grill, preheat to medium low heat). Place a heavy press on top of the two sandwiches and give it a press. Leave the press on for 4-5 minutes or until the sandwiches are thoroughly warmed and the cheese is melted. BE CAREFUL SO THE PRESS DON'T FALL OFF AND DAMAGE THE GRIDDLE SURFACE. If you don't have a press, just apply pressure with your hands until the sandwich is a little compressed. Serve immediately and enjoy!
