| Video Discription | Indian farmers staged a one-day hunger strike on Saturday near New Delhi after a week of protests and clashes with authorities that left one person dead and hundreds injured over recent agricultural laws put in place. Farmers have been angered over the new laws, which they say would benefit large private food buyers at the expense of producers. The Indian government on Saturday in turn blocked mobile internet services in several areas around the capital as the strike took place. Supporters of Delhi Police officers also gathered on Saturday to show their support and sat in protest against the violence that happened on Republic Day, in which a planned tractor parade turned violent when some protesters tore down barricades and clashed with police.
