His opening comments are about the West Papuan experience and the precedent that provided for the invasion of Timor-Leste in 1975. Introduction to the presentation of the documentary: The Reconciliation (Part 1) Facilitator: Professor Barry King. The address was at the conference celebrating 20 years of publishing the Pacific Journalism Review research journal based in New Zealand. Founded at the University of Papua New Guinea with the inaugural edition in November 1994, PJR was also published at the University of the South Pacific in Fiji before finally being adopted by the Auckland University of Technology in 2003.
