| Video Discription | Gopalakrishna Bharathi was one of the most prolific Tamil composers of the late eighteenth century. His magnum opus work-Nandanar Charitram, captures the yearning of Nandanar, also known as Thirunalaippovar, to see Lord Shiva at Chidambaram. Thirunalaippovar (he who will go tomorrow) was one of the 63 Nayanars or Shaivite saints. The composition – Idhu Dhano thillai sthalam in the raga Behag, captures beautifully his delight upon setting foot in the holy town of Chidambaram and wandering its streets. In this video, the danseuse aesthetically depicts the Nataraja tatva –“I came here to see your abode.
