In an interview with Mid-day, the actor was quoted as saying that he talks about something and it is misconstrued and he gets into trouble. He thinks it's a nuisance. He insists that he had never said that India was intolerant. He clarified that when asked to comment on it, he had refused to do so but when he was insisted upon he had said that he youth should concentrate on making this a secular, progressive country. He reasons that people like to believe what they want to believe.
