| Video Discription | Last week, we had a chance to speak to fitness & wellness expert Prapti Dutt. Prapti Dutt(@keepwell_mantras) is an award winning fitness trainer, nutritionist, and founder of KeepWell Mantras. Gujrati Indian food is primarily vegetarian and includes popular dishes like Khandavi, Handavo, Khaman, Rotla, Aam Ras etc. In this video, we look at some authentic dishes like Undhiyu( or Undhiyo) and Smoked Aubergine Curry(or Baingan Bharta) with Jowari Rotlu. Hailing from the western part of India, these dishes have formed an integral part of our home-cooked meals. In Mumbai, we were also fortunate to have some amazing restaurants which made these dishes as well. Places like Hiralal’s, Thakkar’s and more recently Rajdhani kept our palates satiated. In the UK, it has been very hard to find these authentic dishes. Until now… Home-chef Hema joined Cook My Grub us few months ago. Hema grew up in a traditional household in Surat, inspired by watching her mum making delicious food using a variety of spices. She developed a love for vegetarian and vegan dishes.
