| Video Discription | Not in all cases, but in certain cases. First of all, epididymis is where the sperm is stored and it is one of the common places where it can get infected basically. Most of the reasons are because of sexually transmitted infections like syphilis, chlamydia and gonorrhea and also tuberculosis can also lead to epididymitis. so once you see epididymitis and immediately you treat it, and the infection gets resolved and subsequently there may not be chances of subfertility, but if gets unnoticed or if gets treated, most commonly it will lead to a block, block of the epididymis and lead to obstructive azoopspermia, or the sperm cannot come outside. So that is the problems you can get easily treated in the initial stage of infection. Otherwise if you don’t treat it, it can lead to blockage and we have to treat it with appropriate antibiotics, depending upon the infection what it is. |
