This fort is located in the Raigarh district of Maharashtra. The trek to the #Irshalgad fort passes through narrow trails. This trail uphill is rocky and steep at some places with zigzag steps carved out of rocks. While ascending the fort, the plateau covered with a crown of mist makes for an awe-inspiring sight. Nearest Railhead : #Karjat Base Village : #Irshalwadi Difficulty : Low to Medium Best Time : June to Feb Altitude : 1700 ft. (approx.) What to watch : Main attraction of Irshalgad -Nedhe,Panoramic view of #Prabalgad fort ,Matheran Hill Range. How to go to Irshalgad Fort from Karjat? Take local train to Karjat 1: Go to Karjat Bus Stand and take the ST Bus to Chouk (https://goo.gl/maps/qxZDVJTDn6WcS23w5 )though the frequency of ST is very few and there is one in the morning at 7:30 am. Bus fare : Rs. 20/- 2: Then from Chouk to Irshalgad is 4.9 Km which you can either walk or hire auto till Nanevali Village. 3: From Nanevali you need to trek to Irshalgad fort top. On returning don't worry there will be an auto rickshaw which will take you to Karjat Station or you can walk down to Chouk and take the ST Bus back to Karjat Station.
