| Video Discription | This is an extended recut version of a custom theatrical trailer I did six years ago for Rob Hedden's 1989 slasher movie "Friday The 13th - Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan", the eighth entry in the "Friday the 13th" film franchise and the seventh sequel to the 1980 slasher classic "Friday the 13th". This was the last "Friday" sequel released in the Eighties and the final one distributed by Paramount Pictures, before selling the rights to New Line Cinema in 1992. Paramount would never again be involved in a "Friday the 13th" movie until the 2009 reboot, which was co-distributed with New Line. This version is different as I've inserted the uncut death scene clips (with sound) from "Friday the 13th Part 2", that appear on Shout Factory's 2020 "Friday The 13th Collection: Deluxe Edition" boxset released October 13, 2020. This trailer also features music cues from Harry Manfredini's score from "Friday The 13th - The Final Chapter" and "Friday The 13th - Part VI: Jason Lives", as well as Frank Sinatra's iconic classic standard "New York, New York" Clips from "Friday the 13th", "Friday the 13th Part 2", and "Friday the 13th - Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan": Copyright (c) 1980, 1981, and 1989 Paramount Pictures Corporation.
