| Video Discription | U.S. Soldiers shoot the FGM-148 Javelin Missile system during a live-fire exercise. The Javelin is a fire-and-forget, shoulder-fired anti-tank missile that consists of a reusable M98A1 CLU (the reusable portion) and a round. The CLU houses the sight, controls, and indicators. The round consists of the missile, the launch tube assembly (LTA), and the battery coolant unit (BCU). The soft launch capability of the Javelin allows it to have only a minimal backblast area, and can be useful from the interiors of structures and bunkers in urban settings.
