| Video Discription | 29 years ago, I was asked to present an entire concert in Kalyani all the way from a varnam to a Thirupugazh!! After almost 2 hours of rendition in Kalyani, there was still so much to explore in the ragam and this reminded me of what my Guru would say - "the power of a ragam is tremendous. The more you explore, the more dimensions you will uncover." It was a wonderful challenge for me to ensure that I bring out as many colours of the ragam as possible while keeping the ragam fresh throughout the concert. I hope you enjoy this journey into the beautiful Colours of Kalyani performed in 1991 in Chennai.
