Luis Dizon in collaboration with Orthodox Shahada providing evidence from modern scholarship and Greek grammatical and lexical studies that the New Testament authors unambiguously believed Jesus to be Divine. The topics covered are: 1) The current state of scholarship in New Testament Christology, 2) Worship of Jesus in the New Testament, and 3) References to Jesus as God (or YHWH) in the New Testament. Many common Muslim objections are decisively refuted. Luis Dizon is a Ph.D Candidate at the University of Toronto in the Department of Near and Middle Eastern Civilizations, specializing in Comparative Abrahamic Religions. A Catholic by upbringing, Luis spent 11 years of his life first as an Agnostic-Atheist, and then as a Reformed Protestant, before coming back to Catholicism in 2018. He has appeared on a number of shows and podcasts, speaking on topics relating to Biblical studies and comparative religions. |
