Van Heusen wrote the music and lyrics as a teenager (the 1930's) Burke rewrote the words for the final version. Van Heusen wrote more songs that Sinatra sang then anybody else. He won four Oscars but perhaps it's even more of a testimony to him that he was nominated for the Oscar 14 times. Imagination has been recorded by everyone from Keely Smith to Kate Smith.
