| Video Discription | Visiting Jordan River. I know of 2 access points to Jordan River where you can bathe: Al Mahtas (official, only with a guide) and Russian Pilgrim House (you need to be a hotel guest here). I visted also 2 access points to Jordan River on Israeli side (Yardenit and Qasr Al Yahood) and bathed in Qasr Al Yahood (right before Covid in Feb 2020, soon 2 years ago) but of all Russian Pilgrim House is the best as there are no people here and free access to hotel guests. Here you even have Orthodox Priest (there is a church of John the Baptist in the complex and on-spot living priest) on spot if you wish to get baptized! You have to arrive here because 4 pm (check-in 9 to 4 pm) because its military zone and you need to drive through 2 checkpoints. Message Russian Pilgrim House well in advance. Important to buy Jordan Pass online (which includes Jordan visa and access to Baptismal Site Religious Reserve because it is not free to enter this Religious Archaelogical Reserve, hotel is within the reserve). You dont have to vist Russian Pilgrim House. You can also bath in Jordan at Al Mahtas but only with guide and there you need to buy either ticket or have Jordan pass (they will put you into some group with a guide). But if you wish to sleep and stay overnight 50 meters (as many fays as you like) from Jordan River, its only Russian Pilgrim House in all of Israel and Jordan. They are building Catholic Pilgrim House on Jordan from Jordanian side but it had been opened yet. Dont try to cross Jordan River into Israeli, you will be shot! 3 weeks ago one Uzbek refugee attempted to enter Israel (for work) via Jordan river illegally from Jordan side and he had been shot, lives no more. Respect all the rules of military zone here. Earthly Paradise, so called Garden of Eden (where God settled Adam and Eve and where they used to live) was here at Jordan valley (lowest geographical spot on Planet Earth). Ruins of ancient city of Adam (is close to Adam´s Bridge border crossing on Jordanian side) testify to that.
