Julie Wake, Executive Director of the Arts Foundation of Cape Cod, will share her personal story of how arts and culture offered her comfort, hope, and healing after the trauma we’ve all experienced over the past two years. A prescription to the arts is the perfect remedy to help address mental health shortages and reduce healthcare costs while simultaneously supporting arts and culture by building captive audiences. As the Executive Director of the Arts Foundation of Cape Cod, Julie works to strengthen the visibility, reach, and influence of Cape Cod’s regional arts foundation by building a strong community network; raising funds to invest in meaningful artistic and cultural initiatives; and advocating at the local, state and national level for more resources to enhance the impact that the Cape’s creative economy has on our region and beyond.
